The Process

My work begins with listening—understanding your mission, your audience, and the unique hurdles you’re facing. From there, we combine strategy and creativity to move your brand forward with total clarity.

Get aligned

We kick things off with a conversation about your vision and needs. This is where I get to know you, your brand, and the goals you want to achieve. By understanding your objectives, I can tailor my work to fit your aspirations perfectly. Once we’re on the same page, we’ll solidify our partnership with a clear agreement outlining the project scope, timeline, and deliverables. This ensures we’re aligned on expectations right from the start.

Discover your direction

You’ll receive a Brand Strategy form to complete, either independently or together over Zoom. This step uncovers your goals, audience, challenges, and the tone you want your brand or project to convey. It’s the foundation for creating work that’s not just beautiful but purposeful.

Map our strategy

Next, I create a Brand Brief based on your insights. This document becomes our roadmap, outlining your message, visual direction, and key objectives. You’ll also receive a Brand Board—a curated mood board that translates strategy into visuals—so we can confirm that the direction feels true to your brand.

Explore and create

This is when ideas take shape. I dive into research, develop concepts, and design with intention—always keeping your audience, goals, and brand personality at the center. You’ll receive an initial presentation outlining the reasoning behind one, final concept and how it supports your strategy. Together, we refine the work through a set number of revisions.

Finalize and support

Once the final design is approved, I’ll prepare and deliver all necessary files and assets based on your project needs. I’ll also walk you through how to use them effectively. And after launch? I’m still here. I follow up to make sure everything is running smoothly and answer any new questions that pop up.

What is branding?

How does a designer know what will work for my audience?

We start by learning about your audience, your goals, and your brand story. This research ensures every design speaks directly to the people you want to reach.

Can’t I use Canva?

Canva is a great DIY tool. However, Canva’s licensing terms limit how its fonts, graphics, and stock elements can be used outside the platform, meaning you don’t actually own those assets. Designs created with Canva elements can’t be legally trademarked or used exclusively, since the rights remain with Canva or the original creators. This can lead to issues if you try to use your branding across different media or want to secure full ownership of your visual identity.

How long will my project take?

Turnaround times vary depending on the type of project:

Logos & Branding: 4–6 weeks
Print Outreach: 2–4 weeks
Website: 6–9 weeks

Is copywriting included?

Copywriting is not a part of my design offerings, but I’m here to make the process easier for you. I provide custom templates to guide your writing, ensuring your message and my designs work in perfect harmony.
